Richard Preston motors is currently closed for annual leave from 04/08/25 to 19/08/25. We reopen on Wednesday 20/08/2025 at 10am

If the car is advertised, assume it is still available until the advert is taken off line. We will respond to you on a first come first service basis on our return. Or if we have an opportunity while we are absent.

If you are a customer with an issue with your car (we hope not) you can contact the AA if you need recovery and the warranty company and get the car booked in to a VAT registered garage at your earliest opportunity and follow the warranty claims process.

Any other subjects will be dealt with when we reopen on Wednesday 20/08/25 at 10am.

Richard grew up in the rural outskirts of Boroughbridge and now lives in Ripon with his wife and 4 children who are all actively involved in Richard Preston motors in some way. You may see them pop up in a social post or be at the dealership on occasion.

Richard has nearly 20 years motor retail experience working for brands such a Ford, Suzuki, Nissan, MINI and BMW for large dealer groups such a Lookers and Vertu motors along with working for local privately owned businesses too. Having completed a BSc in automotive retail management from Loughborough university, he has the experience and skills to coexist along with a track record renowned for excellence, amazing customer experience and a keen eye for detail.
